The Beth – Hingham, Massachusetts

the-Shipyard-Chopped-Salad-at-The-Beth-in-Hingham

Have you been to The Beth in the Hingham Shipyard yet? If not, what are you waiting for?! The Beth opened its doors to the public this past July and has been serving up some of the most delicious, fresh seafood and American classics since!

The Beth is a waterfront restaurant that has a casual and comfortable feel to it, offering both indoor and outdoor dining, a spacious driftwood bar, as well as refreshing cocktails, beers, and wines to pair with their exceptional menu of American cuisine.

The menus are created by Chef Jim Fargo, and all feature an international influence with a unique twist. Whether you are in the mood for brunch, lunch, dinner, or even just dessert, The Beth has you covered.

Check out some of our favorite dishes and drinks that you must try on your next visit to The Beth:

THE BEST BITES

So, let’s start with brunch. Brunch is available at The Beth on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 – 2:00 PM EST.

For those that are looking for something on the sweet side, you cannot go wrong with the Churro Waffle, which is a lightly fried Belgian waffle dusted with cinnamon sugar, served with chili-infused butter, cereal milk whipped cream, and topped with maple syrup.

If you are in the mood for something on the savory side, order the Maple Cheddar Croque Sandwich, which is made with prosciutto, gooey maple-smoked cheddar, and apple chutney on toasted sourdough bread, topped with béchamel, a sunny egg, a drizzle of house made hot sauce, and scallions, served with fries that are crisped to perfection.

For lunch or dinner, you must start out with an appetizer, whether it is the Sausage & Hot Honey Flatbread, the Molasses Brined Wings, or the Charred Brussel Sprouts.

The Sausage & Hot Honey Flatbread is beyond mouthwatering, topped with fennel sausage, fresh mozzarella, garlic, basil, and spicy calabrese honey. This flatbread is also available with cauliflower crust if that is preferred.

The Molasses Brined Wings are crispy wings with your choice of buffalo, Korean barbecue, or garlic herb sauce, served with celery, carrots, and blue cheese (or ranch!) for dipping. And the Charred Brussels Sprouts are served with crisp pancetta, candied walnuts, and sweet soy.

For your main entrée, you cannot go wrong with the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandy, Thai Coconut Curry Lobster, or the Shipyard Chopped Salad.

The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandy is southern spiced and fried chicken, pickles, mayo, and shredded lettuce on a country bulky road, with the option to replace with grilled chicken if preferred.

The Thai Coconut Curry Lobster is perfect for seafood lovers looking for something with an extra kick. It is 1.5 pound of lobster unshelled with mussels in a flavorful lobster-coconut curry bisque with crispy grilled corn fritters.

And, for a lighter option, the Shipyard Chopped Salad is mixed greens with toasted pumpkin seeds, golden raisins, pickled red onion, grapes, blue cheese crumbles, and a lemon basil vinaigrette.

THE SEASIDE SIPS

Cocktail lovers will be blown away by the menu at The Beth. Some of my favorites include the Spicy Mango Margarita, the Blood Orange Cosmo, the Huckleberry Mule, and the Peanut Butter Iced Coffee if you are visiting for brunch.

The Spicy Mango Margarita is every tequila lover’s dream – mixed with ghost tequila, mango, house sour, fresh lime, and a tajin rim.

The Blood Orange Cosmo is mixed with Tito’s handmade vodka, Cointreau, and blood orange. Plus, proceeds from The Blood Orange Cosmo benefit My Brother’s Keeper during the holiday season!

For ginger beer lovers, the Huckleberry Mule is mixed with 44 north huckleberry vodka, ginger beer, lime, and mint.

And, the Peanut Butter Iced Coffee is mixed with Skrewball peanut butter whiskey, iced coffee, Irish cream, whipped cream, and Reece’s pieces. Trust me, you will not be able to order just one!
